This is a meditation on that aspect of ourselves that prefers the shadow and the dark. Something not yet worked out, but eventually, inevitably, a bright light is shone on it. Now you can't even hide from yourself...where you gonna run to? This eventuality is one of the most precious things that can happen to us - if we arise to the occasion. And by engaging that help available to us at all times - the sustaining power of divine assistance - we can healthily answer the question: Where you Gonna' Run To?

Words & Music by Bob Ryan (c)1990
We’ve been passing
through many lands
Some have been fruitful
but much has been
through desert sands
And through it all
the Word has come and gone
Each new Name dawning
Then the night-time shadows long
So where you gonna` run to?
Now the darkness has all gone
Where you gonna` run to?
Now the brightness is so strong
On the horizon fades the last night
On the horizon seeps the rise
of the Crimson Light
And all this running
saps the spirit life
All this hiding kills the spirit
like a deadly knife
